New West Editions announces its first project with New York based painter, Nate Ethier.

The collaboration began while Mr. Ethier was in residence at the Vermont Studio Center in the spring of 2011. The artist used three copper plates to create an intensely patterned triptych through repetitive taping and stopping out. The plates were then shipped back to Seattle, where they were aquatinted to produce the subtle, optcial shifts between shape and negative space, and highly saturated color; the conceptual and compositional themes in Ethier’s paintings and works on paper.

This print is in the early stages of production and we hope to reach an OKTP during the summer.

Please check in for further updates on Nate’s project with New West Editions, as well as the artist’s website for more information on current work and shows.

Nate Ethier’s work can be found at Minus Space, located in Brooklyn, New York.
